Behavior Modification Training

Are you feeling lost trying to live with your dog gone wild?

We first implement a Professional Assessment to help you find the missing pieces to resolve the root causes of challenging behavior that will bring out your dog’s value and your quality of life.

The Assessment is a legal document used in animal control, law enforcement cases, court issued abatements, & veterinarian references.

The one-time assessment also provides a detailed action plan. It takes approximately 90 minutes. Cost is $225.

Personalized Behavior Approach

We use a combination of Applied Behavior Analysis with other proven techniques to implement management, counter-conditioning, and alternative/opposing behavior methods that help your dog build positive behavioral and emotional social outcomes.

You will see progress working with us using our behavior protocol:

  1. Prioritize your dog’s feelings of stress and safety in their environment and relationships.
  2. Address the root causes (functions) and stimulus triggers of behavior.
  3. Learn how to help your dog develop better ways to cope.

We both felt that Dan taught us so much more than we had learned prior by reading books and watching YouTube videos. His ability to point out and explain, in real-time, details of our dog’s behavior has remained valuable in the weeks after our lessons have ended.

Dan was excellent!! Dan reinforced all the training with written instructions for me for future reference. This was not my first dog but it was the first time I used a trainer, and Dan gave me a lot of new techniques to use to keep my dog focused on success for both of us. I also like the idea that now Dan will be available if I need him for future issues.

Dan from dogHeart was very helpful. He helped us with not pulling on the lease and door dashing. The assessment comes back with 20-page detailed instructions on how to train your dog with the points of concern. He is very experienced and has a degree in dog training/ behavior so would definitely recommend even for the assessment if you are having problems with your dog or want them to listen better!
